2013 Honda Accord
As summer is slowly nearing its end, the 2012 Honda models are disappearing off dealer lots with the help of the Honda Summer Clearance Event. This means that room is being made for 2013 models, like the 2013 Honda Accord we’ve been dying to know more about. The ninth-generation beauty is a complete refresh on the current Honda Accord and gives us Honda lovers a brand new thing to look forward to.
Complete details on the 2013 Honda Accord haven’t yet been released, but what we know is pretty awesome. The Accord has a new, elegant grille and a better defined front end that give it outstanding eye appeal. The design continues down the sides of the vehicle with a more sculpted look giving it a strong character. A firm stance with the rocker panels completes the visual presence and gives it a great angle on the road. The Accord will also get LED headlights, taillights and running lights, a feature typically found in luxury cars.
The overall shape is much more aerodynamic than the current Accord with low drag exterior surfaces, which is expected to improve the fuel efficiency significantly. Even more with the continuous variable transmission (CVT) that Honda will use on the Accord, the 2013 model might possibly challenge the current fuel economy leader in the segment.
As for the inside, Honda didn’t release much information. We do know that the overall cabin room has increased to provide more occupant and cargo space. Honda did this while making the model a little smaller, giving it a more sporty and practical feel.
However, the big changes for the 2013 Accord come in the form of engineering and technology. Honda has already said that it is using the new Accord as the flagship vehicle to introduce a myriad of new technological advances: the Earth Dreams Technology engine, CVT, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, blind detection, and HondaLink.
