In this featured video, General Sales Manager, TJ Nissen explains what it takes to certify a Honda. If you are considering purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned Honda from us, rest assured that your vehicle has been through a thorough 150 point inspection with standards set by Honda. We invest the time and resources to ensure that we deliver you, a quality vehicle. And with the addition of an extended warranty, your investment is protected.
You should also be aware that dealers may set their own standards to certify a vehicle. At Howdy Honda, there is no need to worry. We follow the standards set by the manufacturer to make sure you get the best possible value on your Pre-Owned Honda.
For some people buying a new car is not on their to-do list because new vehicles don’t meet the needs and expectations of those individuals. Thankfully, for those of you that share that sentiment Edmunds.com has compiled a list of the “Best Used Cars for 2013” where you might find that a used Honda is just what you’ve been looking for.
If you’re looking for a Certified Pre-Owned or used Honda, here are the ones Edmunds recommends:
2007-2011 Honda Fit: The best used subcompact you could buy right now. Since its 2007 introduction, the Fit has enjoyed an impeccable reputation thanks to its spirited and nimble driving demeanor, high fuel economy, and uniquely spacious rear seating/cargo design. Editors at Edmunds are always singing its praises.
2006-2011 Honda Accord coupe: For a sporty 2-door look no further than the Accord coupe. Many forget that America’s “best-selling sedan” has a sleeker and sportier coupe sister that features a tight-built quality, smooth ride, refined powertrains, solid reputation for reliability, and can be found with a manual gearbox hooked up to an energetic V6.
2006-2011 Honda CR-V: You might know the CR-V as the compact SUV that half of America drives. Well, there’s good reason why the CR-V is their SUV of choice – space-efficient, fuel-efficient, easy to drive and maintain, and with as much cargo space as some mid-size SUVs. The CR-V easily meets most shoppers’ needs and with its excellent reliability record and strong crash safety ratings, it’s easy to understand why it’s a top pick among Edmunds’ editors.
The inventory of used Honda for sale in Austin TX changes on a daily basis so please check back often if you don’t find the one you’re looking for.
Do you know of a better way to commemorate your new degree and new job than by purchasing a new or certified used Honda? Of course not! You’ll need reliable transportation to go with that new degree and new job, so why not take advantage of Honda’s Graduate Financing program in Austin? I mean, you can put all that higher-education knowledge to good use and show off a little while you are at it.
Think of the Honda Graduate Financing as a reward for all those all-nighters and endless research papers you had to endure. The program gives you special student financing rates to some select models. You need to look for the grad cap icon tagged on our Honda current incentives page (pictured) to identify which Honda models are available.
Moreover, this program makes financing super easy and flexible whether you’re buying or leasing. Your first payment can be delayed up to three months with two of those collecting zero interest, but you’ll need to bring a few things when you come to Howdy Honda: you’ll need 5 percent down payment, a decent credit score and proof of employment or proof of promise of being employed in the next four months.
If you go to our Honda Graduate Financing page, you’ll find more information and a form for you to fill out and start this exciting process. Now the real question, which Honda are you going to pick?
They were sunny days down in Palm Beach, Florida those first days of March. Spectators and news cameras from all over the world gathered at the PGA National Resort & Spa to watch some of the greatest golf players battle it out at The Honda Classic.
Anyone who’s anyone in the world of golf was there; from Darren Clarke to Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy, they made the journey from their home country to play this famous golf tournament.
During the four days of The Honda Classic (March 1st through the 4th), brand new 2012 Hondas were used as courtesy cars to transport the likes of Tiger Woods, Kenny G (who performed a benefit concert and was also the host of the event), and a myriad of golfing royalty.
Now, what happened to all of these new Honda cars once the golf tournament was over? Did they drive off into the sunset never to be seen again? Did they get eaten by the famous alligators of Florida? None of the above my dear friend.
Over a dozen of these courtesy cars made the trek all the way down to Austin, Texas. As if they were part of a high school marching band, sixteen 2012 Honda Accords marched (or drove) into the Howdy Honda used car parking lot and found their temporary home.
Now these practically brand new 2012 Honda Accords are waiting for a family to take them home and love them. They have all been Honda Certified and posses under 500 miles, and quite a few of them have less than 100 miles on them. Practically new.
Not everyone in Austin knows that we are also a used Honda dealership, but we are (and a good one!). So if you want to give one of these 2012 Honda Accord your love, give us a call at 512-443-4300, email us at email@example.com or drop by.
Oh yeah, and check out this infographic that tells the story of these sixteen 2012 Accords and their journey:
Every March automakers get the jitters due to Consumer Reports annual auto issue, which hits the newsstands at some point in April.
Historically, Consumer Reports’ April issue breaks down each vehicle by first impressions and how things are in the early going. This can prove to be a helpful resource for many drivers, but at the same time counter-productive for others. While Consumer Reports gives great in-depth analysis of each-vehicle, their annual report lacks long-term analysis that car buyers would prefer to first impressions. Until now.
In this year’s annual April automotive Consumer Reports issue, the magazine lists several 2007 models that held-up well and those that went bad over a five-year period. CR had their readers record how many problems their vehicle had during its’ first year as well as in its’ fifth year, and averaged how many problems rose for each vehicle, per every 100 vehicles.
When all the smoke settled and the data was all laid out, two 2007 Honda vehicles were left standing; the Honda Fit and Honda CR-V. This may not seem like a big deal, but when a car manufacturer has 40% of the top 5, that’s something to brag about! And Honda didn’t have any vehicles in the bottom 5 either.
Now imagine yourself driving around Austin in a car that barely gives you any problems if you keep it well-maintained. Ahhhh…the worry-free kind of life. We have many of the best used cars in Austin, including Honda Fit & Honda CR-V (but they get picked up quickly). Give us a quick call at 512-443-4300 or shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you’re interested in a used Honda Fit or used Honda CR-V and we’ll quickly help you get in a great used car.
