We are extremely proud to announce our sponsorship of this year’s 10th Money Box’s Cap 2k Open Water Pledge & Race Swim, and help raise funds to fight prostate cancer. Please join the Howdy Honda Fundraising Team and help us eradicate this awful disease by donating. All the money raised will go to The Prostate Cancer Foundation for research and Us TOO International for support, education, awareness and advocacy.
The 2k swim race will be held on May 5th at Lady Bird Lake (from Red Bud Isle to the Texas Rowing Center) and, if you’re up for the challenge, registration is open on their website. If you’re not quite the swimmer, but would like to check out the event, you can view the race from either the MoPac pedestrian bridge or Capital Cruises’ Doubledecker Boat that will be leading the race. The cruise is $15 for adults and $10 for ages 4-11, and make sure to purchase your tickets in advanced because space is limited.
Many of us know someone affected by prostate cancer, which is why this cause is so dear to our hearts. Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in America, affecting 1 in 6 men. A man is 35% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer than a woman is to be diagnosed with breast cancer.
