Honda Pilot Sensing Technology

Honda Sensing is a suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies designed to help prevent collisions and accidents on the road, as well as alert you to things on the road that you may miss while driving. The following Honda Sensing features are available for the 2016 Honda Pilot EX and EX-L trims, and standard on the Touring and Elite trims.

Road Departure Mitigation: This system uses a small camera to identify common road markers like lane dividers and raised pavement markers to alert drivers if they are about to leave the road. It can also take corrective action to keep the Pilot on the road.

Lane Keeping Assist: If the Pilot begins to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering wheel will adjust to bring the vehicle back to the middle of the lane.

Adaptive Cruise Control: This system helps drivers maintain a set following interval to avoid having to manually change their speed.

Collision Mitigation Braking System: This system helps bring the Pilot to a stop when it senses an unavoidable collision with a vehicle detected in front of the Pilot.
